Do you feel that paid links (such as on these directories you mention) are helpful? And how would you compare their effectiveness to sites that submit you to hundreds of directories for a fee?
Does the old wisdom that Google values paid links more due to the fact that they actually cost something still hold true?
I tried to take advantage of your Massive Links offer, but their Business Directory is down. I have contacted them about it.
@Amir, yes I do think getting links from the directories I listed are helpful. I don't use the mass submission services so I can't speak to them directly but from what I've seen those services tend to put you in low quality directories. The directories I mentioned are definitely not low quality. I've never known Google to publicly say they place value in paid links.
@anonymous - I'm sure the folks at MassiveLinks will appreciate you letting them know they have a potential problem with their site.
